Growing up in a creative household, I loved exploring fiber arts - weaving and knitting were my language, sewing and embroidery my letters. From sock creatures to free-handing my own knitting patterns, fiber arts had an unexplainable magic. When I began pursuing art as a teen,  my interest in fiber arts was put on the back burner because I didn't see a way to combine it my passion for drawing. I still felt called to it and continued with small projects, but it never felt equal to my other creative works.

I began exploring fiber arts again in college, and I've continued falling back in love with the mediums ever since. I love learning about different histories and techniques of different cultures. I enjoy exploring themes of gender, iconography, objecthood, and relationship in my fiber works.
