The main focus of my undergraduate degree was illustration and narrative art. I enjoy using the figure to explore feelings, thoughts, and ideas, and I use abstract shapes and texture to further the exploration between individuals and their environments. I enjoy using bright, warm colors to further the moods of my pieces, and I like to create illustrations that deal with identity, nature, and emotion.
My illustration mediums range from watercolor painting to digital illustration. I'm available for freelance work, with interest in projects that deal with portraits, posters, comics, editorial, and gifts. If you're interested in working with me, feel free to use the contact page or email me at amcalisterart@gmail.com.
Animation
I've helped with multiple student animations, as a lead background artist and a character designer. I love being able to work on a team that has everyone's passions involved. My Webster University animation friends have a special place in my heart, and they loved, taught, and pushed me to become a better creative and problem solver.
I have worked on 4 animated shorts as the lead background artist during my time at Webster University. The number of backgrounds completed range from 40 to 70 backgrounds each film.
